Paradigm Flow Services were contacted by an oil and gas Operator in Central Africa who was experiencing a blockage in one of their 10” oil export pipelines, shutting down production. The pipeline had a known history of wax build up causing restrictions in the line over time and had finally resulted in a full-bore blockage. To develop the best remediation strategy to remove the blockage debris and restore flow, it was essential to firstly pin-point the location of the blockage along the 6.5km pipeline section which ran inter-field between two platforms (A and B).
