Paradigm offers our in-house Find-Block® technology, designed to accurately pin-point full bore obstructions in liquid filled pipeline, riser, flowline and umbilical systems.
This small, non-intrusive, hand carried equipment can be quickly mobilised anywhere in the world at short notice to give pipeline operators fast results and a clear picture of the issues in their production systems.
Applications
Using pulse waves generated from topsides, Paradigm can accurately locate blockages in a wide range of production systems ranging from ⅜” umbilical cores to 24” export pipelines.
Connecting Find-Block® to the system requires as little as a ½” threaded port along with a temporary valve for generating the pulse waves.

What mediums can Find-Block® be used in?
Find-Block® can locate blockages in all forms of fluid filled lines ranging from oil, water, chemicals etc….
Does the line have to be depressurised?
No, Find-Block® actually requires pressure to be within the line, generally at a minimum of 500psi / 35bar to achieve a stable result.
How many people are required to carry out a Find-Block® survey?
Find-Block® is operated with only one Field Engineer and as the equipment is hand carried, mobilisations can be arranged quickly to give accurate results in as little as 24 hours from first contact.
Can Find-Block® be used in hazardous areas?
Find-Block® can be used to accurately locate full bore blockages on lines ranging from as small as ⅜” and up to 24” diameters.
What size of pipelines can Find-Block® cover?
Yes, all Find-Block® units are suitable for use in Class I Division II) (Zone 2) hazardous areas.
