E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch®
The E10 Single Drum e-Winch® design is based on the latest standard in electric drive technology. Electric power from grid supply or generator is directly converted into winch motion by servo motor and inverter technology.
The single lift winch unit has a single drum winch arrangement with easy exchangeable drums.
The E10 is designed for cased hole operations and can accept Paradigm’s PD02 drum bearing slickline or Slick-E-Line®. NOV Elmar ASEP style winch drums also fit in the winch unit.
The winch is controlled with a removable winch control panel. This allows the winch to be controlled at the winch location or from another location near the winch.

FAQ
What problems does the E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® solve in slickline and cased hole operations?
The E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® eliminates many of the operational challenges associated with conventional diesel-hydraulic winches, such as inconsistent speed control, high maintenance requirements, emissions, and operator fatigue. Its fully electric direct-drive system delivers precise speed, tension, and torque control, enabling smoother logging, safer fishing operations, and more reliable performance in cased hole and slickline applications.
How does the E10MKII Single Drum improve safety during well intervention operations?
Safety is built into the E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® through software-defined operating limits and automated protection functions. The system actively prevents overpulls, pull-offs at surface, and unsafe speed or tension conditions. Fail-safe braking, automated brake testing, electronic depth and tension measurement, and software-assisted level wind control reduce reliance on human reaction time and significantly lower the risk of operational incidents.
How does the E10MKII Single Drum reduce operating costs compared to traditional winches?
By removing diesel engines and hydraulic systems, the E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® eliminates fuel consumption, exhaust systems, oil changes, filters, belts, and most routine maintenance tasks. The result is a maintenance-free, energy-efficient system with low cost of ownership, high availability, and reduced crew requirements. Quiet operation and zero emissions also lower environmental and regulatory risks.
How flexible is the E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® for different operating environments and setups?
The E10MKII Single Drum is designed for flexibility. It can be powered from grid supply, generator sets, battery packs, or hybrid power sources, and it operates effectively even with reduced power availability. The single-drum design supports easy drum exchange and compatibility with Paradigm PD02 drums, Slick-E-Line®, and NOV Elmar ASEP-style drums. Optional hardware and software configurations allow the system to be tailored for offshore, onshore, arctic, desert, and ATEX-rated environments.
How does the E10MKII Single Drum support digital and future-ready slickline operations?
The E10MKII Single Drum e-Winch® is part of Paradigm’s Smart Conveyance™ software ecosystem. It supports real-time data visualization, job and run recording, third-party system integration, and remote access. Optional software modules enable constant speed, constant tension, automated jarring, cable life management, simulation-based safety functions, and autonomous operation. This makes the E10 Single Drum a future-ready platform for digital slickline and advanced well intervention workflows.
